The sheath seemed to be made from quality split leather and was assembled very nicely. I have to say that it was a bargain for the price. The reason that I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because the strap intended to secure the knife was too long. The belt hanger was a bit oversized as well. I installed another snap about an inch in from the existing one and now my knife is perfectly secure. I left the belt hanger alone as it wasn't really too much of a problem. Overall, I'd say that it was a good purchase and I'm happy with it.
